Honestly, do we really need an app to start the engine? How do you think smartphones and their apps effect obesity in our culture?

Fantastic question, Tatiana. No, we don't need apps to do things related to functional living. Obesity is an epidemic in this country. Get up off the couch. Have a life. Stop pushing buttons. Stop the madness. I'm so glad you asked this question because I find this disturbing.

Sometimes apps are useful. I use the WMATA app for checking Metro train schedules. Navigation apps are great for long commutes. Games and social media are good during a long wait.

It's a matter of balance. Just use apps when you need them. Find ways to work exercise into your schedule.
