The Ita brand was launched by sisters/partners Bita and Rouzita Vahhabaghai with the goal of combining their multifaceted creative backgrounds in graphic design and architecture to create a design house with a multidisciplinary approach to a wide range of projects. Their work has included new homes, interiors, hotel suites, furniture, fashion accessories and home product design. Their aesthetic is sleek and seductive blending comfort with sophistication.
Bita and Rouzita have regularly been touted in the media for their cutting edge designs and unique personal styles. Also known as the “ita girls,” the moniker has carried over to their design house and their premier ita collection, a lifestyle brand of luxury products. Under the ita umbrella, the sisters are introducing an array of timeless pieces with an emphasis on craftsmanship and extraordinary detail that will break down the barriers between fashion, art and architecture. They masterfully blend metals with leather to create a new exotic that evokes the brilliance of jewels. Their new line of painstakingly fabricated handbags embodies this philosophy.
Bita and Rouzita are also passionate and devoted to a number of global issues and causes. In their spare time, they run the nonprofit organization Capitol PechaKucha, a platform for creatives to share and showcase their ideas from film and fashion to sustainability and innovation.
